Columbia Home Video has released several movie three packs that give you the chance to own a whole series of movies at once.

The Look Who’s Talking Collection has all three films. Here the first one is truly the best, an original and edge family comedy. The second one is cute too, but very rushed and short. The third one is a curiosity only. Talking animals is not nearly as clever as talking babies. Interesting to note: all three films have the same plot as the adult couple fights and gets back together.

The Karate Kid Collection actually has four films, with part three and Next Karate Kid together on disc three. I’m so glad they included the fourth film because it’s way better than the third and it’s a great reinvention of the franchise. A girl Karate Kid, brilliant! The first film includes a special edition with new extra features as well, and of course the first two films are classics.

The Babra Streisand Collection has not sequels but three movies from the filmography of Babs. Some will prefer the early romance classic The Way We Were. For my money, it’s The Prince of Tides, a compelling, heartbreaking story of love and pain. The most recent, The Mirror Has Two Faces, is a mild romantic comedy.
