Oh my God, were they really this young when The Facts of Life started? I was just a kid so I remembered all these glamorous older girls. Now they’re just kids with bad ‘80s hair to me.
Special features are on disc one, by the way. Would’ve been nice to put that on the box. I guessed disc four and worked my way backwards.
They’ve interviewed some cool people, though Charlotte Rae and Nancy McKean are missing. But you’ve got Mindy Cohen, Lisa Welchel and Kim Fields. They even interviewed the actresses whose part was reduced after the pilot. That’s not only ballsy, it’s a wonderful last hurrah for the actresses. They’re featured on both the retrospective spot on the beginnings of the show and the post-recap of what everyone is doing today.
Since most of the actors are not visible anymore, it’s great to see how they look now (all great) and find out where their lives went after the show. This is exactly what I want from a DVD retrospective. |
