This weekend’s Idlewild should get your juices flowing with glammed up starlets cavorting around sharp tough guys in suits. It makes you think, Hollywood’s grand tradition of musicals gave us some of the most suggestive movie moves of all. Take a look back with us.
10. Moulin Rouge - The joys of classic French burlesque set to the tunes of Elton John and Madonna. Nicole Kidman at her girliest.
9. The Sound of Music - What? Nuns are sexy. You know that.
8. Little Shop of Horrors - Growing up I always had a thing for Audrey. I was convinced she had huge tits because I didn’t know what a push up bra was. And the plant wants to eat her? Come on.
7. Chicago - Two Hollywood beauties in their prime dress up like ‘30s molls and get six packs in their already flat tummies doing wild choreography.
6. Rent - Conceived in the midst of the overtly sexual ‘90s, there’s not even innuendo in Rent. They’re just all over each other. Rosario Dawson in a sex club and Idina Menzel as the chick so crazy you can’t fight your better judgement.
5. Grease - ‘50s chicks and greaser dudes! Olivia Newton John is actually cuter before she sluts out for the grand finale, but everyone’s adorable in this movie.
4. Bride and Prejudice - Ooh, exotic foreign dancing beauties. Makes you feel like the leader of a harem to see these lovely Bollywood types cavorting in English.
3. The Rocky Horror Picture Show - Something for everyone. Beefcake for the ladies, jiggling young boobies for the guys. Somehow, Susan Sarandon still looks awesome 30 years later.
2. Buffy, The Vampire Slayer: Once More with Feeling - What’s hotter than chicks kicking ass? Chicks kicking ass to the musical beats. Also, that scene where Emma Caulfield dances around in lingerie.
1. The Producers - Every time I think Uma Thurman couldn’t get any hotter (I’ve been through Batman and Robin, The Avengers and both Kill Bills), she does. Slinking around shaking those firm curves with the most glorious blank look on her face is the equivalent of a musical orgasm. |
