Labor Day - For Women!!

Labor Day comes every day
If you were born a girl -
Twice the work for equal pay
In the workplace whirl.

Are we having fun yet?
The check is in the mail!
A woman's work is never done -
Nope, not allowed to fail!

Labor Day's first Monday,
And the whole weekend before,
You think would be a fun day,
Carefree and out the door!

But who has packed the bags,
And who has booked the room,
Who makes the lists and nags -
And credit goes to whom?!

The bringer of the bacon,
The breadwinner - big man -
It's not his back that's achin'
But the gal who says, "I can!"

Fix the morning coffee
And pack up all the lunches,
Take care of everybody
And still roll with the punches!

Labor Day -
Woo-hah - Yay!
Greater than equal stress
For less than equal pay!
