Alf: The Complete First Season

The Alf DVD has a great premise as every menu features the character Alf complaining about something and making fun of you if you take too long to make your selections. He even previews each episode to remind you what it’s about.

The extras are few, but worthwhile. The original pilot has an entire first act that was taken out, and a different actor playing the military guy. The gag reel is hilarious. For some reason, the Alf puppeteer stayed in character when he messed up! Even the trivia texts have some neat stuff.

But the best part is the original Alf material in the menus. It must have taken some trouble to set up the puppet and either get the original voice back or find an appropriate mimic, let alone write the material.
